Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT)

LLLT use specific wavelengths of red (around 633 nm) and near infrared light (around 830nm) to stimulate skin metabolism and reduce inflammation. It is a non- invasive treatment used to improve the function of the meibomian glands. Dysfunction of these glands is a leading cause of evaporative dry eye.

A course of 3 sessions spaced 1-2 weeks apart is typical for best results and is followed by Meibomian Gland expression : £400.00.

A single treatment may also be advised as a supplement to IPL treatment.

A solar eclipse is an amazing sight, but looking directly at the Sun, even during an eclipse, can cause serious and permanent damage to your eyes.☑️ Only use CE/UKCA-marked eclipse glasses that are specifically designed for solar viewing.☑️ Never look at the Sun through regular sunglasses, cameras, binoculars or telescopes. They do not provide enough protection.☑️ Check your eclipse glasses for scratches or damage before use.☑️ Supervise children closely and make sure they understand the importance of protecting their eyes.Remember: There is no safe amount of time to look directly at the Sun without proper protection.#MartinSmithOpticians #solareclipse #eclipsesafety #EyeHealth ...
